Health Examination and H. pylori

Health Examination and H. pylori

This year's physical examination was a strong one, as I experienced a gastroscopy for the first time in my life and had suspected H. pylori, among other things.

Health Checkup

From the health checkup itself, it was a terrible schedule.
Despite the morning inspection, I returned home at 3:00 am after welcoming a guest from overseas.
I was examined in a state of immense discomfort, with a face that said, please go ahead and point out what is wrong.

The gastroscopy was the last one.
The examination was done through the nose and a nasal anesthetic was given. No sedative was given.
The gentle nurse, who looked like Takayuki Yamada, gave me a detailed explanation.

I lay there with a smile on my face and thought, "It looks like the right side of my nose will pass better. I didn't realize how hard it was to swallow the gastric camera as it passed down my throat.
I cry mixed with sobs as they pat my back and finish the gastroscopy.

After the gastroscopy, the doctor tells me on the spot that he suspects I have H. pylori.
Can you see H. pylori with your eyes? Isn't that a stunt? I think so, but I refuse to have any additional tests and go home.

Go to a local doctor based on the test results

I spend my days thinking in a corner of my mind that it might have been H. pylori and that my stomach might indeed hurt sometimes.
A month or so later, when the test results arrived, they indicated atrophic gastritis.

I knew I should have had an additional examination, so I looked for a doctor in my neighborhood who could perform an endoscopy.
He goes back to the neighborhood for a gastroscopy.

The second gastroscopy was much easier than the first.
Maybe the anesthesia really didn't work the first time...

The gastroscopy findings were gastritis but could not be ruled out as H. pylori.
Additionally, he was to undergo a breath test.

Exhalation test

The test involves storing breath in a packet that looks like it might contain Widerin Jelly.
For one packet on an empty stomach. Exhale for another packet 20 minutes after eating the H. pylori bait.

A week later, go back to the doctor for the results.

The result was that I had H. pylori.
When I was little, my grandmother had gastritis...
I remembered that my grandmother had gastritis when I was little,
and on the contrary, I was relieved that it was confirmed to be H. pylori and that I knew the cause of the problem.

Eradication

large amount of medication

The sterilization required a week of taking large amounts of medication.

It was eight pills twice a day, each time.
It was a carpet bombing to defeat H. pylori.

While my stomach was loose, I felt like I was fighting it because I felt like I could hear the H. pylori's demise.
A week of sobriety was hard.

Sudden downfall

I drank a lot of beer after my sobriety.

He fell ill with swollen tonsils, a high fever of nearly 40 degrees Celsius, and a rash all over his body.

He thought he had contracted corona.

The rash was so severe that it seemed like an unknown disease, but
I finally decided that coronas can do that and rested.

During this time, I quit smoking for the first time in several years.

It was a dizzying time of health and wellness: gastroscopy, sterilization, quitting drinking, and quitting smoking
