My family is heavily dependent on the internet.
I telecommute a lot when I work from home,
and I watch YouTube while telecommuting,
and I have several Chromecast and Google Home devices lying around.
Thanks to this, my work room on the second floor is pretty slow on Wi-Fi.
However, if you're getting 50Mbps, it's usually fine, but
not that fast to experience. The frustration of the popping disconnections is stronger.
My family has been using NEC for Wi-Fi for a long time.
We have been using NEC for Wi-Fi for a long time, so when we want to use mesh Wi-Fi with Aterm, we are limited to a few products.
We had been hesitant to try mesh Wi-Fi, but
we became impatient with the disconnections and decided to purchase another Wi-Fi device and use it as a mesh child device.
Wired LAN is coming to our room on the second floor, so we use that.
In the form of an optical --- | home wall | --> ONU --> Wi-Fi router parent unit --> wired LAN --> Mesh Wi-Fi child unit
.
For the mesh Wi-Fi, all I had to do was set the switch on the back of the device to mesh mode,
connect the wired LAN and turn it on.
In no time at all, the speed in my upstairs workroom increased tenfold.
